It’s forbidden to leave Ischia without taking a bath in the Cartaromana beach, among the black volcanic rocks, where it is possible to bathe in the hot thermal springs.
Those traveling with the family and with small children recommend the San Montano Beach – Lacco Ameno, a cove with fine sand, shallow waters and clear water.
If you are a lover of archeology do not miss the Roman settlements of Aenaria, which today are located under the sea at a depth of 6 meters and which you can see thanks to a glass-bottomed boat. An unforgettable experience for adults and children!
Don’t forget to visit the Aragonese Castle, a typical fortress connected to the island by a bridge. Another interesting place is the Torrione di Forio and the church of “Soccorso di Forio”, overlooking the sea. Finally, we recommend that you visit the characteristic Borgo di Sant’Angelo, with its colorful houses and lots of souvenir shops.
